Jan Kaláb was born in 1978 in Czechoslovakia, where he still lives and works in Prague. His creative roots are based in street art, as a founder of the prominent CSK collective, from where, with evolving styles, techniques and monikers, he travelled the world, and honed in on the three-dimensional geometric abstraction style he is known for today. His practice incorporates carefully blended shades of colour, on custom shaped canvases, sculpture and kinetic installations, which explore three-dimensional space, geometry and colour abstraction.
